Security guard found not guilty in choking

VALPARAISO — It took a jury less than an hour on Friday to find a former Kmart security guard not guilty of choking a juvenile shoplifter on April 2.

Justin Remschneider, who faced up to three years in prison for felony strangulation and misdemeanor battery if convicted, was relieved by the jury’s decision

The 25-year-old credited his attorney Larry Rogers for taking his case.
